"It would help if he wasn't so secretive" Miranda said, more to herself than to Rona.

"Help who?" Rona asked. "How would it help?" She, for one, appreciated Eric's secrecy; she could relate to it.

"It would help me" Miranda said bluntly. "Help him. Help you, though I bet you don't know it."

"Tell me."

"You enjoying this conversation?" Miranda asked, with a faint smile.

Rona waved her hand side-to-side, to indicate equivocation.

"We wouldn't be having it if we knew more about Eric" Miranda said. "All this time, not wasted."

"Wasted?" Rona asked. "I think you're being a little hard on yourself."

"Maybe I'm just trying to get out of the conversation."

"Why would you need to do that."

"Because I desperately need to pee."

"Do you?"

"I kinda do, yeah."

"So you're sick of the conversation, then" Rona reasoned.

"Not 'sick'" Miranda said. "But I've had enough."

"But we haven't even decided if Eric's really going to Italy or not" Rona complained.

"Maybe we'll have to ask him."

"God forbid!"
